Kiln to Cart

Pottery inventory to listing

Photograph a piece at the kiln and get dimensions, a description, a price, and an Etsy-ready listing in minutes.

Made for the table next to your kiln. An iPhone app.

Kiln to Cart is in invite-only beta. It runs through TestFlight, Apple's app for trying beta apps, and signing up needs an invite. Email support@kilntocart.com and a person will reply. Already have an invite? Pick up where you left off, or go straight to TestFlight.
The capture screen, a vase framed inside the guide overlay

Guided photos, or ones you already took

A step-by-step camera walks you through six standard angles — front, side, top, bottom, detail, and the piece in your hand — with an overlay showing where to position each shot. One photo is enough to save a piece. Already shot it on a DSLR? Pick from your library instead.

Measuring a vase, a ring seated on its rim and three dimensions read out

Dimensions without a tape measure

Point the camera and the piece measures itself. iPhone Pro models use LiDAR; every other phone estimates from your photos instead, and a ruler or grid mat in frame makes that estimate noticeably sharper.

A generated listing — title, description, price and quality ratings

The listing writes, tags and prices itself

A title, a description in your voice, search tags, and a realistic price, drafted from the photos and your own notes about glaze and clay. Tune the templates once and every piece after it follows suit.

The inventory grid with a running total of the work on the shelves

Minutes from the kiln to your inventory

Every finished piece in one place, with a running total of what is sitting on your shelves. Search by name, tag or the number you scribed into the foot; filter by draft, listed or sold.

The Etsy listing screen filling in shop section, shipping profile and packed size

It works out the shipping too

Shop section, processing time, shipping profile, and the packed size and weight once the piece is wrapped — worked out rather than typed, with a suggested padding allowance around the piece.

Etsy listing attributes filled in automatically, above a Post to Etsy button

Post to your shops and socials

Connect your Etsy shop once and post straight from a piece's page, with Etsy's own fields — material, colours, category — filled in for you. Publish to Instagram and Facebook, or track sales you made at a fair or a local shop by hand.

The inventory as a sortable table on a rotated phone

And a table, when you would rather do desk work

Turn the phone sideways for the whole shelf as a table — status, price, decoration uplift, type, dimensions — sortable by any column.
